National Gardening Week 10 – 16 April 2017
The countdown to National Gardening Week 2017 (10-16 April) has begun. As in previous years the RHS will be co-ordinating this national celebration of all things green and would like to invite everyone to take part. Last year hundreds of gardens, cultural organisations, museums, heritage sites, charities, individuals and businesses got involved, reaching millions across the country and encouraging them to get out and garden.
For next year's theme, ‘Help New Gardeners Grow’, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) hopes to inspire home gardeners to gain new green skills and reap the many health benefits of growing plants and being active outdoors. Throughout National Gardening Week, all four RHS Gardens will host activities to showcase the benefits of gardening and inspire new gardeners to engage with nature at all levels: from the kitchen windowsill to container gardening, alongside many other projects. The RHS is also encouraging organisations across Britain to get involved and hold their own events, from spring walks to gardening workshops.
If you would like to get involved with National Gardening Week please register your events on our website at firstname.lastname@example.org and do get in touch if you have any questions – we’d love to hear from you.
