RHS Plant Finder 2014 boasts more than 3,800 new plant entries
RHS Plant Finder 2014, the 28th edition of the gardener’s guide to UK cultivated plants, is now available. Compiled and published annually by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), the world’s foremost gardening charity, RHS Plant Finder 2014 lists more than 70,000 plants, together with details for more than 570 suppliers, making it the most comprehensive directory of plants available to buy from UK and Irish nurseries.
RHS Plant Finder 2014 contains over 3,800 new plant entries, including Clematis ‘Prince George’ named to celebrate the birth of the royal baby. This is one of the most widely stocked new plants listed in the 2014 edition of the book.
An increased number of nurseries are listed in this year’s guide, giving gardeners a wider range of options when sourcing plants. Contact details, maps, websites and mail-order information are included for each nursery (where applicable).
Janet Cubey, Editor-in-Chief of RHS Plant Finder 2014, says: “Every year the enormous task of reviewing the accuracy of the plant names and listed nurseries that sell them is undertaken by RHS experts. This dedicated attention to detail means that gardeners can be confident that they are receiving the most accurate information about plants – from their correct botanical names to who stocks them. That is why the RHS Plant Finder remains the most informative and comprehensive source of information for gardeners of every level.”

About the RHS
The Royal Horticultural Society was founded in 1804 by Sir Joseph Banks and John Wedgwood for the encouragement and improvement of the science, art and practice of horticulture. We held our first flower shows in 1820, were granted a Royal Charter in 1861 and acquired RHS Garden Wisley, our flagship garden, in 1903. From our first meetings in a small room off London’s Piccadilly, we have grown to become the world’s largest gardening charity.
Today the RHS is committed to providing a voice for all gardeners. We are driven by a simple love of plants and a belief that gardeners make the world a better place. 210 years on we continue to safeguard and advance the science, art and practice of horticulture, creating displays that inspire people to garden. In all aspects of our work we help gardeners develop by sharing our knowledge of plants, gardens and the environment.
RHS membership is for anyone with an interest in gardening. Support the RHS and secure a healthy future for gardening. For more information call: 0845 130 4646, or visit www.rhs.org.uk/join
