February Children’s Half-term Fun: Wakey, Wakey Wildlife
14 – 22 February, 10am – 4pm
RHS Garden Harlow Carr is celebrating all things wildlife this half-term as the garden comes alive again after the cold winter months. Whatever the weather, there will be indoor craft activities and an outdoor trail to suit all ages, so wrap up warm and join in the wildlife fun.
Normal garden admission.

The Giant Scarecrow Competition
14 – 15 February, 10am, 12pm & 2pm
Enjoy some quality family time building a life-size scarecrow to be displayed within the garden. The winning group will receive a growing starter pack worth £100. If you prefer to watch rather than take part, simply come along and vote for your favourite!
Prices: £10 for a family group (up to 5 people) plus normal garden admission.

Children’s Storytime
Thursday 26 February, 11:00 – 11.30am
Come and join a storytelling session, where tales of great garden adventures and little garden creatures will be told. Each session will be followed by a short walk or song. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable for under 5s.

The Handbags and Gladrags Exhibition
24 February–15 March, 10:00am – 3.30pm
Want to give your mum something special this year? Come along to RHS Garden Harlow Carr’s Bath House and find a unique, hand-made gift. Choose from a range of jewellery, handbags, toiletries, clothing and more.

Adult education courses & workshops

Gardens by Design
Fridays from 13 Feb to 20 March, 10am – 4pm
Learn the basics of garden design on this six day introductory course designed to inspire and teach you the practical skills to turn your own ideas into reality.

Guided Walk: The Wonderful Winter Garden
Friday 27 February, 10am – 12noon
Join Russell Watkins on this guided walk of RHS Garden Harlow Carr’s old winter garden and more contemporary Winter Walk. Find out about the plants that can be used specifically to create an interesting winter garden, regardless of garden size.
