Artists’ Garden Exhibition 5 – 21 September
West Country Craft Fair 5 – 7 September
Over the next couple of weeks RHS Garden Rosemoor becomes THE place to go if you’re looking for the region’s best art & crafts people. The Artists’ Garden Exhibition will be on display from 5 – 21 September, and from 5 – 7 September Rosemoor hosts the West Country Craft Fair.
Starting on 5 September the popular Artists’ Garden art exhibition returns to Rosemoor bringing together more than 80 of the South West’s most talented artists all under one roof. The exciting and colourful display of pictures, prints and cards are inspired by the natural world, especially gardens, plants and flowers. They have been created using a variety of media and will also include landscapes, seascapes, animals and wildlife pictures from well-known artists such as John Hoar and Michael Kitchen-Hurle who was commissioned by the world-famous Born Free Foundation in Africa.
The exhibition runs from 5 – 21 September, 11am – 5pm. All the work exhibited is for sale and visitors will be able to talk to some of the artists.
In addition to the Artists’ Garden Exhibition, Rosemoor presents more than 40 different local craftspeople at its West Country Craft Fair from 5 – 7 September, 10am – 4pm. Many will be demonstrating the beauty and creativity of the products they make. Come and support these talented craftsmen and women by treating yourself to an unusual handcrafted item.
Visitors will be able to combine the visit to the exhibition and craft fair with exploring everything that RHS Garden Rosemoor has to offer in the heart of the West Country where so many artists and craftspeople have set up base because the range of landscapes, materials and inspiration available.

About the RHS
The Royal Horticultural Society was founded in 1804 by Sir Joseph Banks and John Wedgwood for the encouragement and improvement of the science, art and practice of horticulture. We held our first flower shows in 1820, were granted a Royal Charter in 1861 and acquired RHS Garden Wisley, our flagship garden, in 1903. From our first meetings in a small room off London’s Piccadilly, we have grown to become the world’s largest gardening charity.
Today the RHS is committed to providing a voice for all gardeners. We are driven by a simple love of plants and a belief that gardeners make the world a better place. 210 years on we continue to safeguard and advance the science, art and practice of horticulture, creating displays that inspire people to garden. In all aspects of our work we help gardeners develop by sharing our knowledge of plants, gardens and the environment.
